“Our Hearts Beat As One“, seeks to collect and layer individual heartbeats from various places and communities in and around Winston-Salem, NC, to create a new, universal rhythm, representing the collective heartbeat of the city. In addition to recorded heartbeats of participants, there will be audio elements and effects processing applied at times, as well as selective editing by the contributing artist(s). Heartbeats will be collected through pop-up events at various locations across the city leading up to and during the exhibition.
